Lookout Life - Mobile Security App Reviews

Great app!

Had extremely low battery - found my phone & warned me. Functions as promised!

Useless

I had this app for 6 months (and I lose my phone - usually in my house - at least twice a month, and am always connected to the internet) and every time I tried to locate it it would give me a location I had been at days or even weeks ago. Even when I placed my phone on my laptop and tried to make it locate or scream it could not find my phone. Ever. Use another app, this one will only frustrate you.

Awesome

This is the best antivirus ever!!!!!!

Amazing app

This is a really good app I have it on all my devices and definitely worth the download

No good!!!

My husband and I both had this app. We both lost our phones at separate times. Lookout didnt locate the phones, didnt send screams, didnt wipe the phone out and generally didnt work at all like it should. For both of us. At separate times. So we have found our phones since, and have come to the agreement that this app is pure garbage. That said, it has been deleted from both of our phones.

why do I need to give my email just to try it out. zero stars and deleting the app.

Useless for apple watch / phone tracking alert

I just installed this app about 1h ago and i keep getting false positives about my iPhone getting out of range from my apple watch. And im so close to it that I can grab it with my hands. It need a proximity setting adjustment or a time buffer before alerting. This way, we will be able to move freely at home or office. I only use this app for that particular features, so the reviews is only about this point.

Gimmicky

Needs improvement. Currently, the "scream" function can be silenced by turning down the phones volume. Not much use in a real theft situation. Seems like they still need to polish this app.

Want too much private info

A bit wary about an app that wants to back up your contacts & photos to their servers, and says it monitors for iPhone malware?! Needs to use your GPS all of the time too.

Buggy tether to iPhone

Sole reason that I wanted this was to let me know when I lose connection to my iPhone. Problem is, it also notifies whenever the watch switches to wifi for its connection. There’s also other false positives. (first one was 8” away - both my hand and the iPhone were on the coffee table). Others were me being 10’ away from my iPhone (pretty sure the BT range is better, but I’m sure the Watch has been told to switch to wifi quickly to ensure performance). Ideally, we want taptic & sound notification when the connection is lost (ie. when the red iPhone connection lost indicator is visible). THAT would be useful! (yes, that’s less reliable in a corporate environment where you’re blanketed in wifi coverage - possibly in a campus setting - but it’s really the only case where it’s going to be useful).

Great useful app!

Ive been waiting for something like this. Thank you! Ill never leave my phone at home again!

Total garbage

Does not work right at all .. Keeps telling me i am getting to far from my device on my apple watch . And my phone is right in my pocket 2 feet away .. Looks like a good idea but not right yet .

Battery hog?

Just downloaded today and my battery is at 21% at 8:45pm which is normal after a days use not a weekend days casual use. Ill keep an eye on this. Seems odd to have a notification come up on my iPhone to say that my iPhone and Apple watch are too far apart, Im not going to leave the watch somewhere and have the iPhone with me! Sensitivity seems off too. I ought to be able to set up a geofence. Or even better the app should reside on my watch only and warn me when the watch loses connection with the iPhone. Oh and in the version I have the scream function turns up the volume every time the siren goes off, which is perfect.

"Phone out of range" feature on watch.

Latest update improves the false positive issue altough I still gets many false positives about my phone being out of reach. Aldo, the app drains a lot of battery juice. It counts for 15% of my usage on the last 24h since the app was updated. Wayyyyyy to much! Off my device it goes. Sorry. I guess this is why this feature was left out of WatchOS after initial release by Apple... Drains the battery and not accurate!

Not perfected yet.

It buzzes when the phone is in my pocket and it doesnt when I walk away... I like the idea, so Im willing to try again if improved.

Works great

Love it Found my iThings when I needed to

Not working

Doesnt do anything when watch disconnects from phone. Why would you need to back up your contacts with this app? Probably a scam. I would stay away from this app at all costs.

Great app

Does what it promises. Well worth the money if you tend to forget your IPhone all the time.
